MacTarnahan\'s Black Watch Cream Porter Like religions, every beer drinker has a creation story. If you’re an avid beer drinker, it was that first beer that really took you over the major domestic hump and got you interested in the wonderful world of mircobrew. For me that beer was MacTarnahan’s Black Watch Cream Porter.

It all started on a chilly, collegiate sophomore year night in Davis, CA, home of the Aggies. My buddy Mark had invited me over to check out his kegerator in his garage. It was a classic college setup- Big empty garage in an old 1940’s house, with leftover tools and leaves scattered about and a huge ping pong table in the middle of the drafty room. The kegerator was your standard issue drill-a-hole-in-an-old-refrigerator setup.
